SO many fun elements to play with! The reds, pinks and greens make it a very girly kit, but you can easily separate the colors to make soft (perhaps even neutral?) layouts as well. I confess, I didn't make a Valentine's Day layout at all with it, but scrapped one of Rachael's dance recitals instead. Oh, how I miss the tutus now that she's defected to gymnastics...

Dreamy

As a mommy of two little girls with tons and tons of sweet pink baby pictures to scrap, I was thrilled with this next kit - Lily's Dream by Lily G Designs:

Curtains and cradles and little pink booties and sweaters, oh my! My more traditional paper-y scrap style wasn't a great fit with this kit, but I had fun stretching outside of my comfort zone to do more fantasy-styled pages. Wanna see?

Purplicious

I loooove purple...and I love anything girly...so when I saw Kari Q's Moonberry kit, I actually drooled a little. Seriously, check this out:

Soooo, the first page I did with the awesome purpleness was of my older daughter, Rachael, when she was nine months old, using a template from Jennilyn's Kickers 4 set:

And then I had to do one of Amelia too...this time using a template from LePingouin's Septies Plus pack. (Yes, again!)

Beautiful, no? I've got to buy the girls something purple so I can scrap with this some more...

Ma petite fleur...

Oh, how I love some pink and brown. Milly has so much pink and brown, from her clothes to her carseat. So I was super excited to see lots and lots of pink and brown in the latest kit from Tootlebugz, Petite Fleur:

At first, I resisted the call of the pink and brown, and whipped up my first P365 page for February using lots of the teal:

Then I happily succumbed to the pink and brown for week six of Rachael's P365 project:

Ma petite fleur was such a sweetie pie, was she not? Hard to believe it's been six years since she was that tiny. *sniffle*

Both of these layouts were made with Template Set Septies Plus by LePingouin Designs. I absolutely can't get enough of these templates - such an awesome way to fit a whole bunch of pictures on your page without the cluttered feel I *usually* end up with!

You see, Designs by Megan (another of my fabulous CT designers) has just released her I Heart U Blogwear and, despite my utter lack of blog background tweaking know-how, I'm pretty determined to use it. The background and banner look pretty good, no? Well, there's more coming...as soon as I figure out how. Meanwhile, check out the blogwear!

A new CT!

I woke up this morning to a lovely surprise in my inbox - I was accepted to not one, but two more wonderful designers' creative teams! I'll tell you all about one tonight, and save the other for tomorrow night. :)

The first one is one whose creations I've been drooling over for a while now - LawTeeDa Designs! Oh my gosh, if you have a little girl, you must go look at her store. There are quite a few that I just can't wait to get my hands on. (Darn hubby's rotten layoff, or I'd have had them already!) So today, I played with the kit Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Here's a preview:

Ahhh, both of my girls in tutus! I'm so in love with this kit.

The Tiny Dancer page was made using a template from the White Space set by LePingouin Designs - more of those coming soon, too!

In only semi-scrap-related news...today is my little girl's sixth birthday!! Needless to say, birthday pictures will be showing up in my layouts soon. :)

Sweetie Girl

Alrighty, let's get going here! The first thing I have to share is a new kit by Jennilyn Designs called Sweetie Girl. All the pink and purple actually made me drool a little. :)  Here's a preview:

 

CUTE, right? Just take a wild guess who I scrapped with it. Yep...these pictures are from Valentine's Day 2008, which was Milly's very first. Rachael had just turned four and Milly was two months old.

 

This kit is on sale now for $4.20 (usually $6.00) in Jennilyn's store at Sunshine Studio Scraps. I also used one of her templates (Kickers 1) and her Angel Baby action for Photoshop to get that cool ethereal effect on the photos. They're all in her store - stop by and check it out!
